Hi, I'm Sk Imdadul Islam — and I Started This for You

I'm Sk Imdadul Islam, a digital marketing trainer based in Thane, Mumbai. I didn't start out in marketing — for close to nine years I worked in retail buying and merchandising, with companies including Raymond, DMart, and Reliance Retail, planning product ranges, managing vendors, and reading sales trends to make buying decisions.

In 2020, I made the shift into digital marketing. I trained formally, then spent over two years as a freelance digital marketing specialist, running SEO and PPC campaigns and managing social media for clients. Since 2023, I've worked full-time as a digital marketing trainer, teaching SEO, PPC, social media marketing, and digital content strategy to individuals and groups, with hands-on exercises in tools like Google Ads and Google Analytics.

Open Digital Resources grew out of that training material. I kept running into the same gap: most digital marketing content online is written either for people who already know the jargon, or so oversimplified it doesn't prepare you to actually run a campaign. This site is where I write the explanations I'd give someone sitting across from me in a training session.

I have spent the last 5+ years working as a Digital Marketing Trainer, helping students and professionals understand the ever-changing world of online marketing. I have trained people from all backgrounds — fresh graduates, working professionals, entrepreneurs, and small business owners — and one thing I have learned is that anyone can master digital marketing with the right guidance.

Teaching is not just what I do — it is something I genuinely love. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing someone who once had no idea what a “conversion” was go on to build a profitable digital presence.
